Hello! You have been sent this email because you may be eligible to participate in Youth PREVAIL!
Youth PREVAIL is a study examining the role of stress in the symptoms of anxiety and depression in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Queer (LGBQ) adolescents and young adults. Participating in Youth PREVAIL involves completing two online surveys. You can complete
Survey 1 by click the link below. We will ask you questions about your mood and how you cope with stress. You will receive $5 for completing Survey 1. About 6 weeks afterward, we will email you a notice to complete Survey 2, which will again ask you about your
mood and the stress you have faced since completing Survey 1. You will receive $10 for completing Survey 2, for a total of $15 and entry into a raffle for an iPod Nano.
In terms of risk to you, there is some risk that you may experience distress in response to some of the survey questions. You may quit the study at any time. If you have any questions about participation please contact Jordan Simonson at the address below.
There are no direct benefits to you for participating in the study.

This FREE forum is part of the Conversations About Race & Culture series.
Oct. 12, 6 – 8:30 pm, Bellevue City Hall, 450 110th NE, Bellevue WA 98004.
This program will feature guest speakers talking about some of the roots and causes of discrimination and hate crimes, and will allow attendees to have group discussions about how communities can rally together to build bridges of understanding and increase
unity in the community.
